Waste Management Licencing

Your Envirnment Agency (EA) officer will advise you as to the waste management licensing you require and  how to achieve it.  Information required:

  • Risk assessment
  • Risk management plans
  • Detailed site plans
  • Proof of planning permission
  • Relevant Waste Management Industry Training and Advisory Board (WAMITAB) certificate to demonstrating technical competence and Fit and Proper Person (FAPP) status
  • Demonstration of financial provision
  • Health and safety provision.
  • Discharge to foul sewer will  require approval from EA
  • Facilities processing Animal By-Products (ABP) will require approval from the State Veterinary Service  click here
  • A Pollution Prevention and Control (PPC) permit, obtainable via the Environment Agency, will also be required for facilities processing muncipal waste as a pre-treatment to landfill.
