Waste Management Licencing
Your Envirnment Agency (EA) officer will advise you as to the waste management licensing you require and how to achieve it. Information required:
- Risk assessment
- Risk management plans
- Detailed site plans
- Proof of planning permission
- Relevant Waste Management Industry Training and Advisory Board (WAMITAB) certificate to demonstrating technical competence and Fit and Proper Person (FAPP) status
- Demonstration of financial provision
- Health and safety provision.
- Discharge to foul sewer will require approval from EA
- Facilities processing Animal By-Products (ABP) will require approval from the State Veterinary Service click here
- A Pollution Prevention and Control (PPC) permit, obtainable via the Environment Agency, will also be required for facilities processing muncipal waste as a pre-treatment to landfill.
